Mickey Fried Preschool
A community for curious learners
Welcome!
At Mickey Fried Preschool (MFPS), we believe that children learn as they play.
We are a South Orange-based Jewish preschool open to families of all faiths and backgrounds, and committed to providing play-based, high-quality early childhood education to all children.
Located in the heart of SOMA, our school offers a warm, creative environment in which each child’s unique style of living and learning is valued and nurtured. The foundation of personality, self-image and motivation to learn are all firmly established in the first five years of a child’s life. MFPS helps give your child the tools, space and support for the experiences that help them learn and grow.
If you have questions or are looking for information, please contact Preschool Director Cara Bruen.
Extended Hours
Catering to the SOMA community and beyond, Stay & Play runs weekdays from 2:30-5:30 pm, and features enrichment activities running from 2:45 to 3:15 pm and 3:15 to 3:45 pm, including Soccer, Drama, MyGym, Yoga , and Cooking.
We Keep Your Child's Brain and Body Active All Day, Every Day.
Through our many enrichment classes, we expose the children to a variety of learning opportunities. These classes help improve critical thinking, social skills, fine/gross motor skills, cognitive skills, and physical fitness.
At Mickey Fried, students begin their learning journey with the core subject areas. Early math, literacy and science concepts are introduced in a fun and approachable way. We love to see the growth of their social and listening emotional skills, along with a new ability to focus and problem solve.
