Open to all, Oheb Shalom’s Stay & Play aftercare program, in the heart of South Orange, offers a warm, nurturing environment with a wealth of benefits for preschool-aged children. It’s a place where kids can continue their learning journey beyond the regular school day, giving them the opportunity to engage in games and play to stimulate their creativity and imagination.  

Stay & Play also provides:

– Peace of Mind: Our trained and caring staff ensure your child is in good hands while you take care of your afternoon and work responsibilities.  
– Social Development: Children interact with peers, learning valuable social skills like sharing, cooperation, and conflict resolution.  
– Cognitive Enrichment: Engaging activities, games, and arts and crafts stimulate children’s minds and promote creativity.  
– A Smooth Transition: Aftercare provides a gradual transition from the school environment to home life.

Catering to the SOMA community and beyond, Stay & Play runs weekdays from 2:30-5:30 pm, and features enrichment activities running from 2:45 to 3:15 pm and 3:15 to 3:45 pm, including Soccer, Drama, MyGym, Yoga , and Cooking.

We are a proud partner of the South Orange/Maplewood School District Preschool Expansion Program. If your child is placed here by the district, please note that school hours are 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. We have limited space in our Stay & Play aftercare program.
