Chametz Check

If you are not sure you will have removed all of the chametz (leavened products) from your home before Pesach, click here to fill out a form for selling your chametz for the duration of the holiday. Forms are due by 11 am on Monday, April 21.

Sunday Morning Learning Two-Part Series:
Part One: “How to Keep Your Kids Engaged at the Seder”
Led by Education Director Gavin Hirsch and Rabbi Treu. A workshop for parents and grandparents looking to keep the seder kid-friendly while also engaging the adults around the table. Free. No registration necessary.

Miriam Sisterhood Pre-Passover Pampering & Dinner
Come have a glass of wine & appetizers and shop during this evening to take care of yourself… before you take care of everyone else!  Indulge in paraffin wax and other treats, buy some raffle tickets, and enjoy a catered dinner.  Vendors include Sitting Pretty, BellaLuna wholebody products, Pink Jewels, Walden Interiors, Cabi, and others.
$36 for Sisterhood members, $45 for non-members

Part Two: “Were We Really Slaves in Egypt?”
Would it matter if the answer was No? Rabbi Treu will walk us through some of the archaeological sources from the earliest days of Jewish peoplehood, all with the question: what does it mean to say we were slaves in Egypt?  Free. No registration necessary.

Refugee Shabbat
Join KIND (Kids in Need of Defense) Newark’s Managing Director Jackie Stabnow and Social Services Supervisor Lizbeth Veliz for a discussion about KIND’s work with unaccompanied immigrant children seeking safety in New Jersey. A Barbara Zinbarg z”l kiddush lunch will follow.

Fast of the Firstborn: Rabbi Treu and Rabbi Vernon will lead a siyyum on Mishnah Moed Katan following minyan.
Minyan will take place in person and via Zoom. Learning and light breakfast to follow.

Learner’s Shabbat services will take place in the chapel and via livestream. Our focus will be on the Amidah.
